We can watch kittens

Today a friend sent me a link to a livestream of kittens.  I'm not sure why he did this, except as part of a nefarious plan to keep me from ever getting work done ever again.  Seriously, this has been very detrimental to the amount of things I have done today.  Because, kittens.  You watch them.  You'll see. They are so, so adorable.  Especially when their mommy comes in to feed them.

That's really the most exciting news I have for you all.  Today it's very rainy, but not very cold, and I had a spa treatment, and now I'm feeling very relaxed (the kitties are helping that, too).  I've almost finished The Girl Who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There, and so far I deem it a very worthy sequel.  Just gorgeous descriptions of places September visits and a strong, un-contrived plot-- I'm especially a fan of the Duke of Tea and the Vicereine of Coffee living in their teapot palace.  I might be finished with it if it weren't for the kitties on the livestream.  The book has made me want to go on a quest, though.  I think very often that I would be good at questing, and that a quest might be just the thing for me, but who really goes on quests anymore-- at least, the kind that involve a lot of walking and rationing food until you find a village with a tavern or stumble upon a very large feast in an enchanted grove?  And at the end of your quest, you've accomplished something really worthwhile that saves the lives of an entire world or something else noble like that.  Sigh.  I'm not sure those quests exist anymore, really.  I like to think that enchanted groves might exist still, though.

Ok, go watch kittens.  You know you want to.

(No, I don't know who set up this livestream, and they have not asked me to promote it)

  1. If/WHEN you come to Australia, we shall go on a quest. Random fact about me: I always pick my handbag based on whether it would make a good bag on a quest. Not so much size, more like shape and colour.

Also, I feel a great kinship towards hobbits, so I definitely feel a longing for quests too.

    1. YES please! I would love to go on a quest with you!!! I used always to take a towel in the trunk of my car, even before I read Hitchhiker's Guide.

Maybe we can go to New Zealand, too? I do want to see where they made the greatest questing films of all time. :)

    2. I am actually from NZ and am going to visit my dad, who lives over there, in May. AND WE ARE GOING TO THE SHIRE!!!!!!! It's about 40 minutes away from where my dad lives. My roomie Keiran is coming too. He calls the LOTR movies, The Lord of the Borings, which offends me and makes me laugh too. I am dragging him there BUT you should totes come :)

  2. Aw, now I'm watching kittens too. They're just in a pile, rolling around on each other, having a good time. I can't look away!
