Last summer when I was learning to paint, I came cross this and found it so incredibly inspiring, but I realized I've never shared it. So here! Matisse! Take from it what you will.

It has been a week, I tell you. Hours and hours spent with historical manuscripts (more on that later-- some of it was really interesting and I made a kind of exciting discovery), and some big changes going on, all around. Everything is in upheaval, in a potentially fantastic way. Less than a month 'til my crazy busy summer starts and I find out what the world has in store.
